We've got gigs in the books! Super excited to be back at it! Check out the calendar and come on down! :-) More will be added soon!

Great News! - September 13, 2011

Steve is doing great! His arm is totally better! We are ready to ROCK!!!!!!!! Watch for the calendar to fill up soon! :-) Happy Dance! :-)

Bad News! - July 14, 2011

In case you hadn't heard, our band leader and guitarist, Steve, sustained a left distal radius fracture (just above the wrist) on July 4th, 2011. It was a pretty significant break and he had to have surgery. Last Friday he underwent Open Reduction Internal Fixation with plating - which is a fancy way of saying they went in and put some hardware in there to push the bones into place where they need to be. Yesterday he had his first post operative visit and got a short arm cast and began treatment with the Smith & Nephew Exogen Ultrasound Bone Growth Stimulator which is a fracture healing device. Kim, our Smith & Nephew Sales Rep, has been AWESOME! We are totally thrilled with the care that he has received from Dr. Greg Wolf at Tabor Orthopedics. Dr. Wolf is very happy with the result of the surgery and with how well Steve is doing now. He is able to wiggle his fingers and he has sensation in his finger tips. He will be in the cast for a minimum of 6 weeks then he will begin physical therapy. It will be a while before he will be allowed to bend his wrist..so playing guitar is absolutely out of the question at this time. This is why our schedule is so pitiful at this time. I asked Dr. Wolf if he felt that Steve would be able to play a gig in late October and he feels optimistic that he WILL be ready to play by then! Sooooooooooo...best case scenario, I guess, Steve will be ROCKIN out in a few months. Huge THANKS to our guys John, Ben & Dan for your patience and understanding! We'll be back soon and in the meantime I'll keep ya posted right here! Best, Patty

Meet The Band!!! - May 7, 2011

Today I'd like to officially introduce you to Faultline's newest member, the lovely and talented Dan Cochran!

Dan is a super sweet guy and a seriously gifted bassist! Before joining Faultline last summer Dan had played bass for more than 20 years with blues harp great Blind Mississippi Morris. His resume includes many songwriting and arranging credits as well as many well received CDs with Blind Mississippi. Dan has toured Europe and has played many large festivals in the states.

Dan worked on projects with R&B songwriter/artist Don Nix, blues artists such as Don McMinn, David Daniels, Fred Sanders, Victor Wainwright and many more. An eclectic musician, Dan has enjoyed working with Gospel/Jazz Artist/Saxophonist Savoyd Beard and Southern Soul Gospel group Sons of Wonder. He has shared the stage with the great Sam Carr, Frank Frost, Big Jack Johnson, The Jelly Roll Kings, Tommy Castro, Kenny Neal, Luther Allison, Henry Townsend, Willie Foster, Paul Delay and many more.

We are so very happy and honored to Dan with us as Faultline's newest member and know that you will be blown away by his playing. He can lay down a serious bass solo, y'all! Come and meet him at a gig and prepare to be blown away by his playing!

Breaking News!!!! - October 10, 2010

Steve & I have LOVED playing all over California, Nevada, Tennessee, Mississippi, Arkansas, Alabama, etc and recording with Faultline over the past 18 1/2 years! We've gone through many changes of players and repertoire over the years, but Faultline will always be a part of our lives! We look forward to continuing to play the greatest possible variety of Rock, Blues, R&B and More and to all of the adventures that have yet to come with Faultline!

Sooooooooo....what is the news?? The news is that Steve & I have added a new project to our lives! We are now available to play duo gigs! The repertoire consists primarily of jazz standards, love songs and a few show tunes for good measure! It will be a completely different experience than all of that awesome rockin out that we enjoy with Faultline and we are sooooooooooo excited about it!

Stay tuned for invitations to upcoming duo gigs and Faultline gigs tooooooo!!!

We are Baaaaaaaaaack!!! - October 10, 2010

***Taking a Break*** - June 7, 2010

Hello All! Welcome to another hot Memphis summer! I've got news, friends, after months of playing every weekend my boys have been waving the white flag and begging for a little down time. So, with regret, we are taking a little break from playing so that we can regroup, work up new repertoire and find some new places to play. We've gone from having a very full schedule to having one lone gig in the books. So, this coming Saturday night we will be playing at Hadley's in Bartlett and our friend Dan Cochran will be sitting in on bass. We do so hope you will come!

FINAL IBC UPDATE - January 23, 2010

Good Morning Faultline Friends,
Our band, Patty Harper & Faultline, was honored and thrilled to have represented Memphis in the 2010 International Blues Challenge! Beale street was crawling with amazing bands and it was a pleasure to meet so many talented, friendly, supportive musicians from all over the world! We were especially impressed with our Southern neighbors 2Blu & The Lucky Stiffs from Alabama and Mike Holloway and the Crosstie band from Mississippi! Super sweet people and phenomenal musicians! CHECK THEM OUT! They were great and we thought for sure that if we weren't going to take it then one of them would be the deserving winners..but it wasn't in the cards for them either....better luck next year! ;-)

There is a video clip of one of the original songs that we performed that has been posted on You Tube (Patty Harper + Faultline at the IBC). This was shot on night one! We can't wait to see the night 2 footage as we all felt oodles better about the Friday night performance. There can only be one winner and this year it wasn't us. We had the time of our lives though and want to send out a big thanks to all of our family and friends who were there cheering us on! Your support means the world to us!
Hope to see you back on Beale as we return to Wet Willie's next Saturday night from 8-Midnight. We have a promoter flying down from Nashville to hear us that night, so we would be most appreciative of a nice big rowdy crowd...can you come?
Thanks again for being our best supporters!
Patty, Steve, John, Philip, Ben & Owen the Blues Monkey!!!!!!

From the MBS Website Today: - August 10, 2009

"The third time really was the charm for Patty Harper and Faultline! Runners-up in 2005 and again in 2007, the group was not to be denied this time as they absolutely tore their way through sets of rockin’ blues both nights, demonstrating pro-level vocal and instrumental prowess, and real blues “you could feel”... throughout the band!

Congratulations again Patty and guys! Best wishes as you compete in the 2010 International Blues Challenge!!"
